Color photo of Ethel Waters standing between Eugenia Price (left) and Joyce Blackburn when she arrived at Malcolm McKinnon Airport on St. Simons Island in August 1971. For several days, she stayed at their home "The Dodge" on the Frederica River, while reviewing the manuscript of her autobiography, To Me It’s Wonderful, published in 1972. Price and Blackburn edited Waters' recollections from taped interviews with her for the memoir. Written on reverse: "Aug. 9, 1971" Similar to 2009.004.129a and 2009.004.129b |
