    Lighthouse keeper's brass drip pan or tray. Two pieces, tray (lid) and pan, U.S. Light-House Establishment. This oil drip pan was used when filling lamps, lanterns and smaller oil cans to capture spills when oil (kerosene) was transferred from one container to another. Oval stamp on lid - U.S.L.H. DEPOT, 3 DIST., LAMP SHOP, STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.
